I have observed many teams and organisations in trying to find what their core values are. It strikes me that there are interpretations around compassion, kindness, improvement etc. All key words as a foundation to positive action and development of an optimum culture. I notice that those individuals that are encouragers work on the principles that would develop a culture of growth and autonomy, with an all encompassing positive value set. If we were all encouragers it would achieve the directives and strategies within organisations that we are striving for. This would assist with a sense of optimum health and wellbeing, which in turn support productivity, retention and joy in work.
A small step can develop, start with a conversation with a colleague, an offer of going through aspirations, talking positively in your team about the way forward…
Watch how those you encourage blossom, and make sure that you have your encouragers around you too, that is so important in order to keep yourself in the right place, at the right time for personal growth.
